Daphne is located northern of Santa Cruz Island. It is an inactive, extinct volcano, which invites us to observe its majestic volcanic walls, which descend vertically into the ocean. When we arrive at Daphne, we will be able to observe different types of shorebirds, like the Masked Boobies, the Frigate Birds and maybe the Tropical Bird and the Swallow-tailed Gulls.

During our two immersions / dives, we will explore a small cave, located at a depth of around 5 meters, where we’ll be able to find the Black-tipped Shark and Sea Turtles. We will also be able to pass by a pinnacle at a depth of 18 m, where we will observe colorful Fish, Giant Rays and if we are lucky that day, we might see the Tiger Shark.

Continuing with our underwater adventure it is common to find schools of Salemas in very large quantities, these are 10cm long fish endemic to Galapagos and are the preferred food of seabirds and some sharks that live there, without a doubt this will be a fascinating experience impossible to forget.
